Town Council approve the Teen Library Council’s application for a bake sale event scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm in Imagination Park.

BACKGROUND
The Teen Library Council is a group of teens who consider their age group’s perspectives and how they think they can apply those to improve the library. They are focused on by brightening the atmosphere of the Teen section as well as planning events. Their goal is to make the San Anselmo Library more fun and welcoming for teens.
DISCUSSION
With the funds from the bake sale, the Teen Library Council would like to make a few improvements to the Teen section. Ideally they will purchase furniture such as comfy bean bag chairs and a brighter rug, and hang-up book posters and other decorations to make the area a more comfortable and welcoming environment.
FISCAL IMPACT
There would be no direct fiscal impact to the Town to approve this item.
CEQA AND CLIMATE ACTION PLAN CONSISTENCY
The proposed project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), under the “common sense” exemption, because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment. (Cal. Code Regs. tit. 14, § 15061).

Town Council approve the Library Teen Council’s application for a bake sale event scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2022, in Imagination Park.
